Most glassware advice treats whiskey as one thing. It is close enough to true that the same shapes work across the category, but there are two real differences with bourbon, and they point in opposite directions from the Scotch answer.

Those aromas are heavier and less volatile than the smoke and brine a peated malt is trading in, so they benefit from surface area to come off - which again argues for a generous bowl.
