Privacy policy
Short, because we collect very little. No accounts, no newsletter, no advertising network.

The short version
The Dram Desk has no user accounts, no login, no newsletter and no advertising network. We collect anonymous analytics about how pages are used, and we send you to Amazon when you click a buy button. That is essentially all of it.
What we collect
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which links are clicked. It records things like the page you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, your device type and how you arrived. It also records when a buy button is clicked, which is how we know which pages are useful.
This data is aggregated and we do not use it to identify individuals. Google’s own handling of it is governed by their privacy policy. You can opt out with a browser extension, a content blocker, or by declining cookies in your browser settings - the site works normally either way.
The contact form
If you write to us, we receive the name, email address and message you send. We use them to reply and for nothing else: no mailing list, no marketing, no sharing with third parties. The form is delivered by Microsoft Graph on our provider’s infrastructure.
The form also records the moment the page loaded and your IP address at the time of submission. That is purely anti-spam - a timing check and a rate limit - and neither is retained beyond the request.
Server logs
Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, which include IP addresses, for security and operational purposes. We do not mine them.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, passwords or profiles - there is nothing to sign up for.
- No payment information. We never take a payment; the retailer does.
- No advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels, no data brokers.
- We do not sell or rent any data, because we do not hold any worth selling.
Affiliate links
Buy buttons route through /go/ on this domain and then redirect to Amazon. That redirect adds our Amazon Associates tag to the destination URL, which is how Amazon knows a purchase came from here. It does not transmit anything about you to us beyond the fact that a link was clicked.
Once you arrive at Amazon you are on their site and subject to their privacy policy, which includes their own cookies. Our affiliate disclosure explains the commercial relationship in full.
Product images
Product photographs are served from Amazon’s image CDN. Loading them means your browser makes a request to Amazon, in the same way any embedded image works.
Your choices
- Block analytics with a content blocker or browser privacy setting. The site is fully functional without it.
- Do not use the contact form if you would rather not share an email address - though we then have no way to reply.
- Ask us to delete a message you sent us. Write to info@thedramdesk.com and we will.
Children
This site is about alcohol-related products and is intended for adults of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described rather than quietly swapped in, which is the same standard as our corrections policy.
